Youth Action Council Launch!

Greetings Englewood Community!

We are ecstatic to announce the launch of the Englewood Quality of Life Plan Youth Action Council in partnership with Teamwork Englewood and Chicago Cares! This civic leadership initiative is long awaited and we are very happy to be introducing new youth into the fold!
The Youth Action Council (YAC) was developed as a pilot for the 2017-2018 school year. It is a year-round civic leadership program for 20 high-school students tied to the Englewood Neighborhood. YAC was formed to be a leadership body throughout the Englewood community for teens, but the scope of this work will be explored and defined by its 2017 participants.
High school students in grades 9-11 who live in Englewood, or go to school in Englewood, are eligible.
Please distribute widely to your networks as we want to engage as many young people who either live in Englewood, or go to school in Englewood, as possible. This opportunity does come with a stipend and other incentives.

Looking forward to hearing from your youth and announcing the new council!
