Englewood Schools Embrace STEM Challenge

Students, teachers and parents filled the lobby of Miles Davis Magnet Academy -6740 S. Paulina St. to cheer on their engineering design teams.  Each team was given materials to complete a design challenge on-the-spot! The students used these materials to build model cars that were measured on distance traveled and scored by a panel of judges on other specific criteria. This first annual challenge supports the implementation of Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and engineering practices during daily science instruction.
