PNC Bank Presents Teamwork Englewood with Community Development Grant

PNC Bank presented a community development grant to Teamwork Englewood on March 2nd at Teamwork Englewood, 815 W. 63rd Street. The Purpose of this grant is to support a project that will utilize PNC Bank’s “ Foundation of Money Management” online financial capability educational programming. This program is specifically designed for residents of Englewood who are “unbanked”.

Labonne, Vice President an Community Consultant. Paul A. Labonne stated, “ PNC is proud to collaborate with Teamwork Englewood on such an important financial education initiative. Teaching our young people how to budget, save and use credit wisely is extremely important in helping them make wise choices now and in the future.” Perry Gunn, Executive Director of Teamwork Englewood, added:” This grant will help our Englewood families who are unbanked, particularly the youth. We will teach them to become more proficient at utilizing online financial education tools, which will help strengthen the overall financial capabilities of families. This programming will help the Englewood residents enter and stay within the financial services mainstream becoming less a victim of predatory scams. ”
