African American Male Initiative
The African-American Male Initiative is aimed at 10- to 18-year old males. Our partners in this effort are the United Way, Adler School of Professional Psychology, Kennedy-King College, the Chicago Police Department and several youth-focused community organizations. Through mentoring, peer meetings, conversations, field trips and community projects, the goal is to help these young men achieve success in the classroom and in life, to avoid drugs and become neither victims nor perpetrators of violence.
